About

Hi! I’m a picture book illustrator based in Los Angeles, California. I also delve into the craft of writing them too. I love world building and creating whimsical, fun characters! After receiving my BFA in Illustration from Art Center College Of Design in 2004, I’ve been animating for film and television, including emmy nominated shows at Nickelodeon. My heart always led me to using hands-on mediums, so when I found my way into the publishing world, I was SO excited to meld the two worlds. I mainly work with watercolor, prisma, tissue paper collage, and sprinkle in some digital “magic” from my years as an animator. I’m constantly inspired by nature, small acts of kindness, and happy accidents.

I work from my home studio, where my kids have their own art station and Pebble (my bunny) roams. I define it as my happy place. When I’m not making art, I love playing with my kiddos (ages 4 & 7), hanging with my talented husband, watching British Archeology shows, working in the garden, and sipping coffee.
